Shingen Takeda is a selectable character in two Voltage games: Samurai Love Ballad, a social party game, and Sakura Amidst Chaos, a paid novel game. He is loosely based on the famous daimyo Takeda Shingen.
He is the head of the Takeda clan, one of the main factions fighting to unify Japan. Shingen's base of operations is Tsutsujigasaki Castle, where he serves as the military commander of Kai Province.

Shingen has long dark red hair that, except for the long bangs that fall to the right side of his face, he wears in high ponytail. He has almond-shaped eyes that are a golden amber in color.
As Shingen is quite tall, his height is often mentioned by other characters. Due to his stature, he often intimidates those who do not know him.

Personality[]
Shingen is very outgoing and laid-back, and he is very highly regarded by both the townspeople of Kai and his retainers for his kind-hearted nature. Shingen cares very deeply for the welfare of those who follow him, and anyone under his rule is generally well cared for.
He is very open when it comes to sex and sexuality, often good-naturedly teasing his retainer Yukimura Sanada about being a virgin and freely discussing his own sexual escapades. He appears to be unconcerned with gender, shown when he teased a male retainer by saying he would invite the retainer into his bed. Shingen appears to have no use for modesty, either; one one occasion, he is discovered roaming his castle naked after he fell asleep on the veranda watching the moon. Although several retainers and maids see him, he simply brushes off their shocked reactions by stating that real men don't like to be restricted when sleeping.

- On his character profile for Samurai Love Ballad, Shingen's height is listed as 6'06". This has caused confusion in the fandom, as some have mistakenly read his height as 6 feet 6 inches. Instead, 6'06" translates to 6.06 feet tall, which would normally be written as 6'1".
